PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

After being admitted to the California State Bar in December 2001, David Libman practiced law for almost six years in Orange County, California. During that time, David acquired a broad range of experience as a civil litigator representing corporations, businesses, and individuals. David's controversy experience spanned a wide variety of disciplines, from matters involving contracts, life insurance, unfair competition, real estate, and fraud, to probate, trust, surety, insurance coverage, and tax-related issues.

Although primarily a litigator, David's practice also included significant transactional work, including the preparation of various business, employment, financing disposition and licensing documents. For the last three years (in 2005, 2006, and 2007), David was named one of Southern California's Rising Star Lawyers by Super Lawyers Magazine.

David's varied range of legal work experience led him to an ever-increasing desire to specialize in tax-related matters. David recently took a year off to obtain his LL.M. in Business Law/Taxation (Masters of Tax Law) from the UCLA School of Law before commencing work at Wood & Porter.

Aside from the practice of law, David enjoys a long running passion for music. He has worked professionally as a drummer since he was a teenager. Although drumming is now an avocation, David's past musical experiences have included live television work, touring, recording, thousands of live performances throughout the United States and internationally, and multiple publications related to drums and drumming.
